CHICAGO — Even more people than usual will be running around naked in Wrigleyville this weekend — but they’re doing it for charity.

The Cupid’s Charities Undies Run is challenging Chicagoans to raise money before heading to the Saturday event, where attendees wear underwear and costumes while jogging through the cold (Saturday is expected to hit just 28 degrees, according to the National Weather Service). Afterward, there will be a dance party at Sluggers.

The run raises money for neurofibromatosis research. Neurofibromatosis is a condition that causes tumors to grow along a person’s nerves, which can cause cancer and intense pain, among other things.

The event is noon-4 p.m. Saturday at Sluggers World Class Sports Bar, 3540 N. Clark St. Registration is available online and is open before and on the day of the Undie Run.
