CHICAGO — Burglars struck twice in less than a week in Ravenswood, police said.
The burglars got into businesses by shattering the front doors and climbing through windows, according to a Chicago Police Business Alert. They then took cash from registers.
The burglaries occurred:
- 4 p.m. Jan. 25-3:20 a.m. Jan. 26 in the 4900 block of North Damen Avenue
- 3:40 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of West Ainslie Street
During one burglary, the thieves were described as two boys or men who were 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and wore hooded sweatshirts, police said.
