CHICAGO — A group of robbers has been targeting women in the Loop, police said.
During five robberies, women were walking or standing outside when several people grabbed their phones or purses and ran away, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
The robbers have punched women, knocked them to the ground and kicked them in some cases.
The robberies occurred:
- 5:45 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 300 block of East Wacker Drive
- 6 p.m. Nov. 14 in the first block of South Wabash Avenue
- 10:15 p.m. Nov. 15 in the 100 block of West Lake Street
- 8 p.m. Nov. 19 in the first block of East Wacker Drive
- 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Wells Street
No description of the robbers was available.
