Man Keeps Trying To Steal Roombas From Chicago Walmarts, Police Say

The most recent robbery happened Saturday in the 8300 block of South Stewart Avenue, police said.

CHICAGO — A thief has been trying to make off with Roombas from South Side Walmarts, police said.

The Roomba thief went into Walmarts at two locations and stole or tried to steal several of the robotic vacuum cleaners from the store shelves, according to a Chicago Police business alert. 

The thefts occurred:

  • 11:44 a.m. Jan. 10 in the 10900 block of South Doty Avenue E
  • 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of South Stewart Avenue

The thief was described as a 20-25-year-old man, 6 feet to 6-foot-2 and 160-175 pounds, police said.
