SOUTH LOOP — Fresh from Saturday’s debate with opponent Ebony Lucas, Ald. Sophia King (4th) will hold the first of three “State of the Ward” town hall meetings Monday night.

At the town hall, slated for 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Columbia College, 1104 S. Wabash Ave., King plans to update her South Loop constituents on a number of topics, including safety, infrastructure improvements, education and legislation. 

The second “State of the Ward” meeting will be held Jan. 28 at the Carruthers Center Auditorium, 700 E. Oakwood Blvd., with the final event scheduled for the following week on Feb. 4 at Kenwood Academy, 5015 S. Blackstone Ave. Both meetings will be also be held from 6-8 p.m.

The 4th Ward stretches from Downtown to Hyde Park along the lakefront, and the ward is home to Cook County Board President and mayoral contender Toni Preckwinkle, who previously served as alderman.
