CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot early Tuesday in West Town, police said.
At 1:40 a.m., the man was walking in the 700 block of North Ashland Avenue when he heard a shot and felt pain, police said.
The man was hit in his abdomen and took himself to St. Mary Hospital. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
