HUMBOLDT PARK — Armed robbers struck twice in Humboldt Park last week, according to police.
Police issued an alert late Tuesday after two people reported being robbed at gunpoint in the 2800 and 2900 blocks of West Division Street.
The first robbery happened in the 2900 block of West Division on Dec. 11 at about 9:30 a.m., according to the alert.
Police said the victim was robbed by two people in a blue Toyota. One took out a handgun while the other got out, hit the victim in the face and stole the victim’s personal belongings. The robbers then drove off.
It was followed by another robbery in the 2800 block of West Division on Dec. 13 around 3:45 p.m.
In this incident, the robber approached the victim from behind, took out a black handgun with an extended magazine and then walked the victim to a nearby alley before stealing the victim’s personal belongings, according to police.
