CHICAGO — Police are looking for information after a rape late Sunday or early Monday in South Shore.
The attack happened between 11 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday in the 7600 block of South Cornell Avenue, according to a Chicago Police community alert. The victim, a woman or girl, was walking when someone in a white passenger van started following her.
The attacker forced the victim into an alley and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The attacker was described as a black man or boy who was 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and of a heavy build with brown eyes, police said. He wore a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.
