CHICAGO — An Uptown shelter is looking for volunteers to help wrap gifts for kids who are homeless.

Cornerstone Community Outreach, 4615 N. Clifton Ave., has collected donated gifts for the children who use its services, but it now needs to wrap those gifts before Christmas.

It’s opening its “Holiday Elf Workshop” to volunteers so they can come to gift wrap presents for the more than 100 kids who will celebrate with the shelter this year.

The shelter’s “workshop” is open a various points every day until Dec. 21. A schedule and signup form is available online.
