Andersonville Businesses Hit By Burglary Spree, Police Say

CHICAGO — A burglar has hit Andersonville businesses four times since the end of November, police said.

The burglar got in through unlocked windows or by prying open back doors, according to a Chicago Police business alert.

The burglaries occurred:

• Between 7 p.m. Nov. 22 and 7:40 a.m. Nov. 24 in the 5300 block of North Ashland Avenue
•  4:45 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 1500 block of West Balmoral Avenue
• 5:30 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 500 block of West Berwyn Avenue
• 6:36 a.m. Monday in the 5300 block of North Clark Street

The burglar was described as a man or boy who was 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, police said. He wore a dark winter coat and gloves.
