CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was shot and wounded early Thursday in Little Village, police said.
At 12:33 a.m., the boy was a passenger in a car in the 2500 block of South Hamlin Avenue when someone walked up to him and fired shots, police said.
The boy was hit in his right shoulder and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
A woman who was in the car with the boy was not wounded, police said.
No one was in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
