Hit-And-Run Driver Seriously Injures Person In West Loop, Police Say

The person was crossing near the Ogilvie train station when they were struck by a driver in a Dodge Charger, police said.

WEST LOOP— Police are looking for a driver who seriously injured a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash on Friday in the West Loop.

At 10:55 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, a driver in a Dodge Charger hit and seriously injured a 59-year-old pedestrian crossing the street in the 500 block of West Washington Boulevard, police said in a community alert. The hit-and-run happened near the Ogilvie Transportation Center. 

After hitting the pedestrian, the driver fled eastbound on  Washington Boulevard, police said.

Police described the Dodge Charger as black or dark grey with a matte finish and tinted windows. The car may have front-end damage near the passenger side, according to police.
