LOGAN SQUARE — Middle Brow Beer Co. wants to be a good neighbor — before it even officially joins the neighborhood.
In the lead-up to the holidays, the brewery is collecting donations “that keep neighbors warm and healthy.”
Donations can be dropped anytime between 5-7 p.m in the parking lot of the brewery’s soon-to-open Logan Square brewpub at 2840 W. Armitage Ave. now through Dec. 16.
The supply drive will culminate in a “care package assembly party,” set for Dec. 16.
Suggested donation items include:
- First aid kits
- Baby wipes
- New socks
- New underwear
- New gloves
- New warm hats
- Hand warmers
- Granola/energy bars
- Tuna packs
- Raisins/ nuts
- Beef jerky
- Prepaid phone cards
- Grocery gift cards
This isn’t the first time Middle Brow has donated to charity. Since the brewery’s founding in 2011, Middle Brow has routinely donated its profits to local organizations like Greater Chicago Food Depository and Ceasefire.
No official word yet on when the Logan Square brewpub will open. But owner Peter Ternes told Eater patrons can expect 12 to 16 draft lines, coffee and food (pizza is “highly likely”) when the 3,500-square-foot taproom debuts.
