CHICAGO — ALIVE Rescue is hosting an open house in Lakeview so would-be owners can meet kittens and cats up for adoption.

The rescue, which helps homeless cats and dogs find permanent and foster homes, will bring together all of the cats and dogs who are up for adoption, according to a Facebook event. Attendees will be able to meet the pets and learn about adopting through ALIVE Rescue.

Submitting an application during the Sunday event will enable visitors to get 50 percent off their adoption donation when they do take an animal home.

More information about ALIVE’s adoptable pets is available online.

The open house is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at ALIVE Rescue, 2227 W. Belmont Ave.
