NORTH CENTER — Tiny Lounge, a pioneering craft cocktail bar in North Center, is closing at the end of the month.

Owners Colleen Flaherty and Mark Johnson made the announcement in a Facebook post Thursday. The bar, 4352 N. Leavitt St., will close Dec. 31, owners said.

“This decision came after much consideration and we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support over the years,” the post read. “The past 19 years have brought many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.”

The restaurant group’s Tiny Tavern at 600 E. Grand Ave. and Tiny Tapp & Cafe at 55 W. Riverwalk South will remain open.

Messages left at the bar were not immediately returned Friday afternoon.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
