Woman, 60, Found Slain With ‘Extensive’ Facial Trauma Inside Her Roseland Home

The woman's family found her dead inside a home in the 300 block of West 115th Street, police said.

CHICAGO — A 60-year-old woman was found slain inside her Roseland home on Monday night.

At 7:35 p.m. Monday, the women’s family found her dead on the floor of a home in the 300 block of West 115th Street, police said.

The woman had “extensive” trauma to her face, police said. She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and pronounced dead.

The woman was identified as Doris Moore, of the same block where she was found, according to Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office records. She was pronounced dead at 8:13 p.m. Monday.

No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
