LINCOLN PARK —  BrewLights — Lincoln Park Zoo’s wildly popular combination of ZooLights and beer — is back again this year.

On Dec. 6., ZooLights will turn into BrewLights from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. That means there will be a new slate of beer varieties for people to drink while they wander around Lincoln Park Zoo and admire all of the 2.5 million colorful lights.

“BrewLights is a great way to kick off the holiday season! We’ll have 20 craft beers from across the country on tap for attendees to sample surrounded by 2.5 million holiday lights and our favorite animals,” said Pat O’Hara, Lincoln Park Zoo Auxiliary Board Member and BrewLights Co-Chair.

The Lincoln Park Zoo teamed up this year with Lakeshore Beverage.

Beer will be served in a dozen 3-ounce servings per person from the following breweries (which specific beers they’ll bring is still being worked out, organizers said):

• Alaskan Brewing Company

• Bell’s Brewery

• Boulevard

• Founder’s

• Goose Island

• Moody Tongue

• Shiner

• Surly

• Sweetwater

Tickets are still available, although organizers note that the events sells out each year.

Advance tickets cost $49, while tickets on the day of the event cost $60. Designated drivers can get in for $20. The event is for guests 21 and over.
