LOGAN SQUARE — It’s time to start shopping for gifts — and giving back — in the lead-up to the holidays.

Turns out, you can do both without leaving the neighborhood.

Here’s a handful of upcoming holiday events and happenings that caught our eye:

Emporium’s new pop-up: Now through Dec. 2, the pop-up at 2367 N. Milwaukee Ave. will be called Goodbar for its charity-driven mission. The bar is donating a large portion of its drink proceeds to local charities such as the John Walt Foundation, Hope For The Day and Howard Brown Health Center. It’s also serving as a donation drop-off spot. Toys, perishables and other goods will be donated various organizations including Toys For Tots and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Goodbar’s hours are 5 p.m.-2  a.m. Wednesday-Friday, 5 p.m.-3 a.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Sundays.

Hopewell Brewing’s second annual holiday bazaar: For the second year in a row, Hopewell is hosting a holiday market with wares from local vendors. Expect to see prints from Charlotte Croy Hudson, paper goods from Hello Paper Co., vintage threads from Lost Girls Vintage, home goods from Manual, mixed media art from Positive Space Studios and enamel pins from Salad Days Pins. Sweet treats will be provided by Bang Bang Pie.

The market is set for noon-5 p.m. Dec. 15 at Hopewell, 2760 N. Milwaukee Ave. While the market is going on, the brewery will also be running a packaged food and personal hygiene supply drive for North Side Housing & Supportive Services.

“Cheap Thrills” warehouse sale: The 14th semi-annual boutique and designer warehouse sale is also set for Dec.15. It will be held at Emporium’s arcade bar at 2363 N. Milwaukee Ave. from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Follow the organizers on Instagram for a list of participating vendors.

Shop the square: Shops, restaurants and bars across the neighborhood will be offering deals and specials Dec. 1 as part of the annual Holidays on the Square event, which debuted back in 2011. Business owners: There’s still time to sign up to participate in this year’s event. More information, including costs, can be found on the event’s website.

“Christmas Sucks” at Ludlow Liquors: We know Ludlow Liquors is in Avondale, but it’s hosting a pop-up that will surely warm the heart of your favorite Grinch. From Nov. 29-Jan. 1, the bar at 2959 N. California Ave. will be decorated in creepy Christmas decor and tragic family holiday photos. Plus, they’ll be serving a special food menu yet to be announced. No cover.
