Pilsen, Greektown Shootings Wound 2 Men

CHICAGO — Sunday shootings in Pilsen and Greektown left two men wounded, police said.

At 9:37 p.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1900 block of South Miller Street in Pilsen when someone in a white SUV fired shots at him, police said.

The man was hit in his left shoulder and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

No one was in custody.

Earlier in the day, at 12:30 a.m., a 28-year-old man was in the 800 block of West Jackson Boulevard when a crowd of people got into a fight and someone fired a shot, police said.

The man was hit in his leg and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

Officers stopped a car that matched the description of what the gunman had gotten away in, police said. They found a gun in the car and were questioning four persons of interest.
