CHICAGO — People walking in Lincoln Park and on the Near North Side had their phones snatched from them four times last week.

Three of the robberies happened on Halloween. The robbers, one or two boys or men, walked up to victims and grabbed their cellphones, according to a Chicago Police community alert. In some instances, the robbers hit their victims and then took their phones.

The robberies occurred:

• Evening of Oct. 29 in the first block of West Huron Street
• Evening of Oct. 31 in the 900 block of West Armitage Avenue
• Evening of Oct. 31 in the 1700 block of North Clark Street
• Evening of Oct. 31 in the 2000 block of North Burling Street

The robbers were described as one or two boys or men who were 15-18 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and 140-160 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about the robberies was asked to call police at 312-747-8380.
