CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl escaped from two men who tried to kidnap her Wednesday in Roseland, police said.
At 9:40 a.m., the girl was walking in the 400 block of West 111th Street when a man got out of a van and told the girl to get inside the car, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
The girl ran toward a Safe Passage worker and told him or her what happened, police said. The men drove away in the van.
The men were black and one of them wore a black neoprene face mask and blue jumpsuit, police said. The other wore a black ski mask and black clothing. They were in a black minivan with tinted windows and a broken taillight on the driver’s side.
Anyone with information about the attempted kidnapping was asked to call police at 312-747-8271.
