FULTON MARKET — Asrai Garden will celebrate 19 years in business with the grand opening of its second location next month in Fulton Market.

The popular Wicker Park floral boutique will open a new outpost at 309 N. Morgan St. inside the Ace Hotel’s retail area.

Patrons will find many of Asrai Garden’s beloved unique flower selections at the new store, and several new products when they open on Dec. 1, general manager Taylor Mauch said.

The Fulton Market location will make use of the larger space by offering new jewelry lines, a wide selection of magazines (like Cakeboy, Broccoli, the New Yorker, Eye on Design, Kaleidoscope, King Kong, Gayletter, Vogue and the Economist,) as well as stationary and other office supplies,  Mauch added.

The shop will also expand its flower subscriptions, which offers a weekly delivery or pick up of flowers to residents or businesses around the neighborhood.

“Everything is custom, everything changes from week to week,” Mauch said. “It’s dependent on what’s seasonal, what we can get. What looks beautiful at the time. You’ll always be getting something new, different and fresh.”

The floral boutique with a devoted clientele announced the second location in an Instagram post Monday afternoon. The Ace Hotel approached Asrai Garden for a retail partnership and the seed was planted, Mauch said.

The shop will host a grand opening party on Dec. 1, offering cocktails, music and discounted prices for items at the boutique.

It will serve as a birthday party of sorts for both locations, Mauch said.  Owner Elizabeth Cronin opened the original North Avenue location on the same date back in 1999.

After 19 years in business, Mauch expressed delight when describing the new chapter of Asrai Garden.

“We are honestly really excited, Asrai has been small for so long and we’re really looking forward to growing and sharing more of Asrai with the city, Mauch added. “We have a great location and a great partnership with the Ace.”
