DOWNTOWN — Miss Ricky’s is serving up Buddy the Elf’s super sweet sundae in honor of “Elf’s” anniversary.
Miss Ricky’s, the restaurant inside Virgin Hotels Chicago, will start serving a Spaghetti Sundae on Wednesday to honor the holiday movie’s 15th anniversary.
“Elf” was released Nov. 7, 2003, and has become a Christmas classic. The movie follows Buddy (played by Will Ferrell), a man raised as an elf in the North Pole who travels to New York City to find his father.
At one point, Buddy makes breakfast for his new family: spaghetti covered in chocolate syrup, maple syrup, candy, marshmallows and crumpled Pop-Tarts.
Miss Ricky’s version of the sundae will feature spaghetti covered in strawberry and raspberry sauce, marshmallows, s’mores Pop-Tarts, M&Ms, Oreos, Fruity Pebbles, coconut, syrup and chocolate sauce.

That means the sundae will hit at least two of Buddy the Elf’s four main food groups: candy and syrup (but maybe you can bring your own candy canes and Candy Corn to add if you want a well-rounded meal).
The Spaghetti Sundae is available for $15 starting Wednesday. It’ll be served up through Dec. 25 at the hotel restaurant, 203 N. Wabash Ave. Miss Ricky’s is open 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily.
The restaurant will play “Elf” throughout the day Nov. 7 in honor of its temporary addition to the menu.
