LINCOLN PARK — Newcity is hosting a tree-lighting ceremony with Santa Claus, live music and activities for kids.
The mall’s free holiday kickoff event will feature a 30-foot-tall tree and live music from the International British School Choir and the Old Town School of Folk Music’s Women’s Choir, according to a Newcity news release.
Kids will be able to talk to Santa Claus, get their faces painted, work with a balloon artist and more, according to Newcity. There will also be hot chocolate and cookies, giveaways and a chance to win prizes.
The event is 6-8 p.m. Nov. 10 at the mall, 1457 N. Halsted St. The tree will be lit at 6:30 p.m.
