Women Punched, Knocked Down By Man During 2 Auburn Gresham Robberies

The women were alone when they were attacked and robbed, police said.

CHICAGO — A man attacked and robbed women who were alone during two recent robberies in Auburn Gresham, police said.

During the incidents, the victims were alone when a man punched them, knocked them down and then robbed them, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The robberies occurred:

• 2 a.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of West 85th Street
• 1 p.m. Friday in the 8700 block of South Ada Street

The robber was described as a black man who was 27-29 years old and 6 feet to 6-foot-3, police said. He had black hair and wore a black coat.
