IRVING PARK — Two gunmen tied up an employee at an Irving Park phone store Saturday morning and stole phones and tablets, police said.
The men went into the Verizon cell phone store at 4183 W. Irving Park Rd. at about 9 a.m. Saturday armed with a handgun, according to police.
The men reportedly used the gun to subdue and then tie up a store employee before stealing “numerous” cell phones and tablet computers.
“No arrests have been made and Area North Detectives are investigating,” said Officer Michael Carroll, a police spokesperson.
One of the two men was wearing a red hoodie, a camouflage baseball cap, yellow “construction-style” vest and black pants.
The other man was wearing a dark blue hoodie and black pants. Police said both men were about 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighed about 175 pounds.
