CHICAGO — Police are showing the stolen items they’ve found and giving their owners a chance to reclaim them Friday.
The department’s Major Auto Theft Investigative Unit will host a public showing of the recovered items at the Ogden (1oth) District Police Station, according to a Chicago Police news release. If a victim recognizes an item as theirs, they can claim it.
People who want to claim items have to bring valid ID, their case report and proof they own a recovered item, like a photo or receipts, police said.
The showing is 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday at the 10th District Police Station, 3315 W. Ogden Ave.
