RIVER NORTH — Moxy Chicago Downtown is serving up a 17-pound burrito to those brave enough to try to scarf it down.
The River North hotel’s restaurant, Zombie Taco, makes the burrito by combining 6 pounds of meat with cheese, beans and other ingredients, and wrapping it all in nine 12-inch tortillas. It takes Zombie Taco staff about 20 minutes to put it together.
“Bigger is better,” said Kayla Arthur, the general manager of food and beverages at the hotel.
The staff isn’t exactly sure how much the burrito can feed — but they’ve seen a group of six people try to finish it, Arthur said. Not even they could succeed: They still had a quarter of the burrito left at the end.
The monster burrito is only available at Moxy Chicago Downtown, 530 N. LaSalle Drive. Guests have to book the “Size Matters” package to get the burrito along with a big cocktail, a pass to the Willis Tower’s Skydeck and Uber XL credit.
The “Size Matters” package was going for $329 plus taxes on Wednesday.
Here’s what goes into the monster burrito:

• 3 pounds pork carnitas
• 2 pounds black beans
