WEST LOOP — A man robbed three businesses over a span of five days in West Loop, according to the Chicago Police Department.

In each instance, a man entered a business and approached employees and said he was armed with a handgun. The man took money before leaving, police said.

The robberies happened: 

• at 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 900 block of West Washington Boulevard 

• at 7:37 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West Lake Street

• at 12:37 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of West Randolph Street.
