PILSEN — The team behind Pilsen Catina Crawl will take a costume-clad crew on a trolley ride to some of the neighborhood’s best bars for the third annual Brew-Ja Crawl during Halloween weekend.

The Day of the Dead-inspired crawl kicks off at noon Oct. 27 in Plaza Tenochtitlán, 1811 S. Blue Island Ave., and runs to 6 p.m.

Attendees will get the chance to enjoy cocktails, craft beer, food specials and live music during the 14 venue crawl. Fellow Brew-Ja crawlers will also have a chance to vote for the best Halloween costume.

Simone’s, Honky Tonk, La Vaca, Caminos, the Barrel and Martins are among the bars and restaurants participating during this year’s crawl.

Organizers said Brew-Ja Crawl is among the various cultural events hosted throughout the year in the neighborhood to raise money for the annual Pilsen Fest.

“In staying true to Pilsen Fest’s ‘one village, one sound’ message, Brew-Ja Crawl raises the curtain and shows you firsthand how a wide-range of exceptional flavors and businesses unite to represent our colorful community,” Pilsen Fest Director Esmirna García said in a statement.

Tickets for the 21 and over event are on sale now.
