DOWNTOWN — Chicagoans looking for love have a chance to find it at Navy Pier’s Ferris wheel this Sweetest Day.
Navy Pier will host a speed dating event, called Spinning With Singles, on the Ferris wheel for the couples-focused holiday on Oct. 17, according to a news release. Chicagoans who are 21 or older can ride in the Ferris wheel’s heated, enclosed gondolas with other singles, talking and meeting new people during multiple trips on the wheel.
Afterward, attendees can board the Chicago Elite, a yacht, for a reception with an open bar, snacks and music from DJ LoveBug. They’ll be encouraged to chat up people they connected with on the Ferris wheel or to meet other singles at the event, according to Navy Pier.
Participants will get a package of offers for Navy Pier events and restaurants at the end.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. if they want to make sure they get a spot on the Ferris wheel. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 and registration is online.
