WICKER PARK —  A 45-year-old man was found dead on Saturday afternoon behind the former Double Door in Wicker Park, according to police.

The man was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as Sean Palmer. Palmer had no known home address, the medical examiner’s office said.

Palmer was found at 3:12 p.m. Saturday behind the building at 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave., according to Officer Michael Carroll, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Yellow police tape was visible around the back of the property Sunday and Monday.

Carroll said a death investigation is underway, though initial reporting has the incident listed as a non-criminal death.

On Monday, police said Palmer’s death is still under investigation. It’s unclear how he died. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
