CHICAGO — A burglar searched a South Look apartment building floor-by-floor to find his targets earlier this month, police said.
The man ended up striking twice, burglarizing two apartments between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 2 in the 1300 block of South Wabash Avenue, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
The burglar went into apartment buildings and took an elevator to the top floor, police said. He then went through each floor of the building, checking doorknobs in search of an unlocked apartment with no one inside.
The burglar was described as a white or Hispanic man who was 6-foot to 6-foot-5 and had black, shaggy hair, police said. He wore a red and blue Nike jacket, gray pants and white shoes.
Anyone with information about the burglaries was asked to call police at 312-747-8384.
