In addition to its fried chicken, which Bonchon is internationally known for and is made using a double-frying method perfected by its founder Jinduk Seh, the franchise restaurant also serves a variety of other Korean and Asian fusion dishes like a salmon avocado ball, Korean tacos and bibimbap.
Though Bonchon has a full bar, the space at 1732 W. Division St. will be BYOB for the first few days and hopes to have beer and liquor soon, co-owner Tom Li said on Wednesday.
After a soft opening from 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, hours will be 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday- Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight on weekends. Visit Bonchon’s Facebook page for more information.
