CHICAGO — A 24-year-old woman was among three people robbed early Tuesday in Pilsen.

At 12:30 a.m., the woman was walking down an alley in the 1000 block of West 18th Street when someone walked up to her, took out a weapon and said they were robbing her, police said.

The robber took the woman’s wallet and cellphone and ran away, going south, police said. The woman was not hurt.

An investigation was ongoing.

Less than an hour later, at 1:24 a.m., a man and woman, both 32, were in the 2100 block of South Wolcott Avenue when two people robbed them, police said.

One of the robbers implied he had a gun in his waistband and the thieves took various items from the victims, police said. The robbers ran away after and officers responding to the robbery saw someone hiding near a car and identified him as one of the people who robbed the couple, police said.

The officers took that person into custody and charges were pending.
