CHICAGO — A 24-year-old woman was shot while driving in Humboldt Park early Sunday.
At 1:30 a.m., the woman was driving an SUV in the 1400 block of North Spaulding Avenue when several men standing on the sidewalk fired shots, police said. The woman was hit in her chest.
The woman drove to Norwegian American Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as “stable,” police said. She was transferred to Stroger Hospital.
Three men or boys had been in the car with the woman but they were not wounded, police said.
No one was in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
