AVONDALE — Crews from Fox’s “Empire” will be filming a few scenes at Electrical Audio this week — and parking will be restricted near the studio.

While crews are filming, both sides of Belmont Avenue between Washtenaw and Campbell avenues will be no parking tow zones, according to permits filed with the city. The parking restrictions will be in effect from Wednesday at 8 p.m. through Friday at 5 p.m.

Additional parking restrictions will be in effect on North Rockwell Street from Belmont Avenue to Fletcher Street from Wednesday 8 p.m. to Thursday at 6 p.m.

Electrical Audio at 2621 W. Belmont Ave. is a recording studio originally founded by Steven Albini in 1997.  Albini was one of the founding members of punk rock band Big Black and, along with his studio, was featured in the Chicago episode of HBO’s “Sonic Highways.”
