CHICAGO — Fans of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” can visit the Hellmouth this Halloween at Replay’s newest pop-up bar.
The “Buffy” pop-up opens Oct. 12 with special events, drinks and decorations that will transform parts of the bar into Sunnydale High’s library, a cemetery and The Bronze nightclub, according to Replay. The pop-up will take up part of Replay Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave.
The pop-up will have several roleplaying opportunities, including a cemetery area where customers can break into Spike’s crypt, a magic shop and a weapons rack, according to Replay.
Guests will also be able to participate in special events like the Slayer’s Quest, an interactive drinking game, and a Potentials Party focused on finding the next slayer. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in a “Buffy”-themed getup for a costume party on Oct. 27.
The bar will also host themed karaoke nights, tarot card readings, a poker night and other “Buffy” events.
Themed cocktails — like Giles’ Single Malt Antiseptic and The Trio in honor of the show’s characters — will be served up during the pop-up’s run.
At the same time, Replay will transform another part of the bar into a “South Park” pop-up.
The bar is open 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, noon-3 a.m. Saturday and noon-2 a.m. Sunday at 2833 N. Sheffield Ave.
