LINCOLN SQUARE — For most of October, commuters who need to cross the Chicago River should avoid the Wilson Avenue bridge.
Through Oct. 20, city crews will be painting the bridge as part of an infrastructure project.
While crews are working, the bridge will be completely closed to vehicles, however one side of the bridge will still be open to pedestrians.
Drivers should follow detour signs posted for Western Avenue, according to the office of Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th).
