CHICAGO — A burglar has targeted Lincoln Park businesses three times since mid-August.

The burglar got into the businesses by forcing open the front and back doors, according to a Chicago Police business alert. When he got in, he opened the businesses’ cash registers to steal money and also took property from the stores.

The burglaries occurred:

•  Early morning of Aug. 10 in the 2000 block of North Sheffield Avenue
• Early morning of Aug. 20 in the 900 block of West Armitage Avenue
• Early morning of Sept. 13 in the 2200 block of North Clark Street

The burglar was described as a black man who is 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, 200-240 pounds and bald with a beard, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries was asked to call police at 312-747-8380.
