DOWNTOWN — Free flower bouquets and food will be available this week at Wells St. Market.

Flowers for Dreams, a Chicago-based flower company that donates a portion of its profits to charity, is giving away mini bouquets Sept. 28 at Wells St. Market, 205 W. Wacker Drive.

The company’s charity for this month is the Chicago Public Library Foundation, and representatives of the foundation will be at the giveaway to give out commemorative bookmarks and talk about the group’s programs.

Those who are able to nab a bouquet will also get a chip that they can turn in for free food at other vendors in Wells St. Market: Firecakes will have small Tahitian doughnuts, Furious Spoon is giving out fried chicken gyoza, FARE will have lemon-scented granola and participants can get blueberry-cheecake pierogi from the Chow Brothers. The food will be available while supplies last.

A photo booth and a DJ will also be at the event.

The giveaway runs 4-7 p.m. (or until they run out of flowers) Sept. 28 at the Wells St. Market, 205 W. Wacker Drive.
