CHICAGO — Two men are robbing people at gunpoint in Humboldt Park, police said.
The men have committed at least three armed robberies since early September, according to a Chicago Police community alert. During those robberies, the men walked up to a victim, took out a gun and robbed the victim.
In one robbery, the thieves stole the victim’s car; during another, they told a victim to hand over his or her car keys but they weren’t able to get ahold of the keys, police said.
The robberies happened:
• 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 1500 block of North Kildare Avenue
• 7:45 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 3800 block of West Lemoyne Street
• 9:15 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 1300 block of North Avers Street
One robber was described as a black man who was 20-30 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and 140-170 pounds, police said. His hair was in braids or dreadlocks.
The other robber was described as a black man who was 20-30 years old, 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds, police said. He had braids or dreadlocks.
