GOOSE ISLAND — Miss the corn mazes and pumpkin patches of your youth? You’ll soon have a grown-up alternative: Jack’s Pumpkin Nights, a pop-up beer garden located inside a corn maze, is coming to Chicago.
Promising “dozens of fall-themed Instagrammable memories,” Jack’s Pumpkin Nights will include a corn maze, three bars, food, carnival games, nightly entertainment and pumpkin carving, according to its website.
The pop-up Halloween haven will be built on a two-acre patch of greenery in an industrial area at 1467 N. Elston Ave. It’s scheduled to open on October 5 and runs through November 3, according to creator Marc Bortz. Tickets to the pop-up go on sale Monday and start at $20.
Though geared for adults, children accompanied by parents will be welcome until 7:30 p.m. nightly, Bortz said.
Bortz is also behind of the popular Christmas pop-up bar Frosty’s.
“We wanted to do something at night, on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, you are never going to drive to a farm in the suburbs,” Bortz said.

Bortz said that within the corn maze, there will be a hidden cider bar and beer garden.
Additional activities throughout the month-long pop-up, which ends November 3, will include a cider beer and sweet corn festival.
Revelers who show up in costume will get a discount off the cost of admission. For more information, visit Jack’s Pumpkin Nights’ website.
