DOWNTOWN — Open House Chicago will give people a chance to explore dozens of historic and modern buildings Downtown next month.

The Downtown area will have dozens of sites returning from previous years, but it also has three new spots: the new Chicago Architecture Center, Wintrust’s Grand Banking hall and 151 N. Franklin St.

Open House runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 13-14, but times vary across individual sites and some locations require people to RSVP.

Here’s a look at the new Downtown spots this year:

Chicago Architecture Center

Where: 111 E. Wacker Drive
When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 13-14
Why: RSVP is required, but those who get into this site can learn about the city’s architecture and Chicago’s influence on architecture around the world.

151 N. Franklin St.

Where: 151 N. Franklin St.
When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 13-14
Why: Visitors will be granted special access to this new, 35-story office building’s rooftop garden and second-floor terrace.

Grand Banking Hall

Where: 231 S. LaSalle St.
When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 13-14
Why: Originally built in 1924, the Wintrust Bank Building recently restored an 88,000-square-foot banking hall on its second floor — and visitors will be able to check it out.
