CHICAGO — A 62-year-old man was stabbed and had his car stolen Tuesday night in West Ridge.

At 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, the man was inside his car in the 6300 block of North Campbell Avenue when someone walked up to him and told him to hand over his wallet, police said.

The man refused and got out of his car, and the two men got into a fight, police said. The other man took out a “sharp object,” police said, and he stabbed the 62-year-old man in his abdomen.

The attacker then got into the victim’s car, a 2007 gold Toyota Camry, and drove away, police said.

The 62-year-old man was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

No one was in custody.
