CHICAGO — A 56-year-old man was stabbed in an O’Hare Airport parking lot early Wednesday.
At 1:20 a.m., the victim and another man, 57, got into an argument in the lower level of O’Hare’s Terminal 5, the international terminal, police said.
The two rode the escalator to the parking lot level and the 57-year-old man took out a knife and stabbed the 56-year-old in his abdomen, police said. The 56-year-old grabbed a traffic cone and hit the 57-year-old with it to defend himself.
An officer who was working at the airport saw what was happening and called for help. The 57-year-old was taken into custody.
The 56-year-old was taken to Lutheran General Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
The two men know each other, a police source said, and they have been known to work at the airport by trying to give cab rides to passengers.
