Lakeview Taco Fest Brings Lucha Libre, Music And, Yes, Tons Of Tacos To Southport This Weekend

CHICAGO — Lakeview’s Taco Fest returns this weekend.

The festival will feature a variety of tacos, including duck, tequila shrimp and steak, from more than a dozen restaurants. Attendees will be able to vote for which restaurant they think is putting out the best tacos.

The festival will have two stages for live music and lucha libre, or masked Mexican wrestling, will perform at 5 p.m. each day at Southport and Cornelia.

The event runs 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Southport between Roscoe and Addison. There will be a $10 suggested donation to benefit Friends of Lakeview.
