DOWNTOWN — Joggers, it might be time to start bringing your water bottles on runs again.
Park water fountains and other water features are starting to be turned off around the city, said Irene Tostado, a Chicago Park District spokeswoman.
The Park District’s plumbers are starting with closed beach houses (the last day of beach season was Monday) and comfort stations, Tostado said. They’re “working their way through all parks,” Tostado said.
Fountains should be turned back on starting in the spring.
