CHICAGO — Two 13-year-old girls were approached by a “disheveled and dirty” man Wednesday in Austin.

At 3:45 p.m., the girls were waiting at a bus stop in the 1000 block of South Austin Boulevard when a man walked up to them twice and asked if they wanted to make money, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The girls told the man “no” and he walked away. The man’s actions weren’t illegal, police noted in the alert, but they were “upsetting to the girls.”

The man was described as black, in his mid-20s and tall and slender, police said. He wore a white and yellow short-sleeved shirt with dark blue jeans and knee-high boots. He was “disheveled and dirty,” police said.
