ALBANY PARK — Part of Montrose Avenue will be closed early Sunday morning for the Guatemalan Independence Parade.

Starting 6 a.m. on Sunday, cars left on Montrose Avenue, between California and Kimball avenues, will be ticketed and towed to 701 N. Sacramento Blvd., according to Ald. Deb Mell’s 33rd Ward office.

The free parade begins at noon and celebrates Guatemala winning its independence from Spain on Sept. 15, 1821.
